The Senate of Serampore College

The Senate of Serampore College (University) is located in Serampore in West Bengal, India. Serampore was granted the status of university in 1829, making it India’s first institution to have the status of a university.

SCEPTRE is the Programme Center of the Senate of Serampore College established in 2001 to promote theological education through extension. The main objective of the Center is to make theological education available to people who do not get the opportunity to go for residential theological education due to various reasons.Senate of Serampore College courses being offered are: Telugu and English medium

Modern Books & Library

Absolute integrity is expected by students and all those who use the Library. Any act of dishonesty such as tearing pages, hiding books, taking books without entry etc., will lead to strong disciplinary action.

Reference books are not for check out. These books can be used only in the library.

Certified Teaching Staff

The faculty of the theological college have a minimum of master’s level qualification with teaching experience.
